Mother Teresa - Grace by U2

All behavior is done for a purpose. What caused Mother Teresa to build shelters for the dying, love people with leprosy, feed the hungry...

What you do does matter! It can open many to the reality of God. How do you as a 14 year old help to foster dignity in others?

Mother Teresa must have been in the practice of taking time to talk and listen to God. She was ready to say "yes" when our Lord asked her to start a mission in India. Do each of us take enough time to discuss our daily plans with the Lord and ask for the Holy Spirit's guidance?

Which do you think is the greater poverty - being hungry or being unloved?

  1. I think the greater poverty is being hungry. i mean we need food to survive. you don't necessarily need love. well, you don't necessarily need the love of other people, but you do need the love of God. but you have to accept that love. it's your choice. so if you choose to deny the love that God's offering, you're kind screwing yourself over. so i guess my conclusion is you do need the love of God, but it's possible to get by without the love of other human beings.

  2. I kind of agree with Mary. I think that you can live without the love of humans. However, I think there would be almost no point to life, except for God's love, if you were completely unloved by everyone else. So even though you can physically live without love, I think being unloved is the greater poverty. Also because if 'unloved' means totally and completely unloved by humans and God then no love is definitely the greater poverty. Also, I know that food is kind of essential to life but if your life was centered on food then there wouldn't be much meaning.
